My work, which varies in form from garments to sculptural objects and work on paper/panels commonly explores my twin passions of color and pattern. An initial inauguration into making felt more than a decade ago launched me into working in fiber and textiles. Felt, in particular, has provided a rich material foundation into and onto which I punch, sew, glue, couch, and adhere both natural and man-made materials. I'm a recycler by nature always saving flotsam and jetsam from the beach to combine with artifacts and physical evidence of material culture collected from my travels around the world. Most recently I have added encaustics (wax and pigment) to both my 2D and 3 D work. I am a member of the juried artis organization Northwest Designer Craftsmen and show my work regionally and nationally.
